Path to Redemption

I am happy to release my latest machinima, Path to Redemption.

This is my entry to the The University of Western Australia's MachinimUWA VIII: Pursue Impossible.

The choices we make in our past determine our future, and redemption can often be an impossible pursuit.

Salutations - Machinima

I am happy to introduce my latest machinima, Salutations!!

I started filming this a few days after they added the first person camera to Guild Wars 2, a much requested feature. So, to say thank you for the feature and just show off some beautiful areas, I decided to make this fun video!

In several scenes you can really see the height difference, especially against the Norns, since I play as an Asura. It sure gives the game a different feeling at times, and I started to notice some things I never even knew was in the world.

Be sure to check my Flickr for some shots I took while we did the filming.

The fun song I used is called Hello by OMFG and can be found here: https://youtu.be/XRgiNUtJurk

Beyond

Greetings all!

Well it has been a long time since I posted anything here, so why not say 'hi' with a brand new machinima!

This one is an entry for The University of Western Australia's MachinimUWA VII: Transcending Borders challenge and is a story about love and looking beyond borders for hope.
Hope you all like it!

Virtually Happy

Well, here is what I have been up to this last month.
Virtually Happy, a music video with Pharrell Williams - Happy song.

This was a pretty big production with over 90 people in total and at places like Builder's Brewery, Hollywood Airport, Luskwood, Toby's Juke Joint and more. It made it difficult to organize sometimes, especially when you want to make sure you keep lag as low as possible, but in the end we did it :D

Hope you all enjoy it and big thanks to everyone that was involved!!!

Ed Barber at Baja Norte

On 11 June 2014, Ed Barber had a live performance over at Baja Norte, so I decided to do a bit of filming and record one of the covers he was doing!

Here is the result!

Special Thanks too Lauren Bentham for giving me permission to film at Baja Norte :D

Wingman's Hangar Anniversary

Greetings all!

So to celebrate the one year annivarsary of Wingman's Hangar over at Robert Space Industries, I decided to make this video showing what it is all about and what happened this past year :D

For those that do not know what Wingman's Hangar is, it is a weekly show that gives info on the development of Star Citizen, with reviews, forum feedback and more!

So here it is! Congratulations again to the Wingman's Hangar team!

MachinimUWA VI: Stolen Reflection

Here we go! My latest machinima!

This story about a thief and her heist is for the MachinimUWA VI : Reflections competition by the University of Western Australia (UWA).

Big thanks to everyone involved in this machinima!! We did this in a pretty short time and I am really happy on how this turned out!
Hope you all like it! :D

Anticipate Freedom

Well my newest vid is online!

This one is a trailer to a game I am really looking forward to and whose development I have been following for some time now. Of course, it is none other than Star Citizen.

For those that do not know what it is, it is a space simulator game for PC developed by Cloud Imperium which was started by none other than Chris Roberts, known for the games like Wing Commander and Freelancer.

This game promises some amazing features and since there is no publishers, it allows a certain freedom that a lot of AAA games do not have these days, which has been putting me off from a lot of games lately.

If you like this sort of game, I recommend you head on over to the website and pledge now! This game looks well worth it and there is some nice extras for people that pledge now!

In any case, I wanted to make something for Cloud Imperium and Star Citizen for some time now and decided on this trailer, highlighting some of the concept art, their initial trailer for Star Citizen and listing some features for the game.

Hope you all like it and be sure to check out their website for more information! :D

Herobrine's Mansion - Burning Kid Babies!

The other night Laerwynn and I decided to try out adventure maps for Minecraft, so we picked Herobrine's Mansion by Hypixel and also decided to record while we play. We had some pretty funny moments and decided to put those moments together and share it :D

I am considering uploading all of the recording as a let's play series if there is enough interest, so will see.

Rendezvous - Kerbal Space Program Machinima

It is finally here! I am very happy to introduce Rendezvous, the sequel to Orbital!

A new rocket design later and Kerbal Space Program Mission Control is ready for the rendezvous to bring Jennie back to Kerbin, but staying true to Kerbal culture, not everything goes according to plan.

Thanks:
I would like to send a big shout out to all the voice actors, without them, these Kerbals would not be as alive as they are!

Then also a big thanks to everyone on http://www.freesound.org
That website is an amazing source to anyone that needs sound for projects!

And also a thanks to http://incompetech.com/
If you need music for your project, this is a great site to check out!

Last but not least, for everyone that watched Rendezvous and special thanks if you shared it! :P

Behind the scenes:
It was decided that we just can’t leave Jennie in orbit, so decided to make a sequel to that story to bring her safely back to Kerbin, but just as the story, the filming and editing stayed true to Kerbal culture.

First MC4 replaced MC2 due to real life taking over. That happens often in something like this, and even though we wish it was different sometimes, real life always comes first.

After finding a new mission controller, voice recording was done and editing was scheduled to start. Of course, then my real life decided to get extremely busy, and the last thing you want to do when you get home, is work on another project. Almost two weeks later, that finally cooled down and editing was in progress.

Then near the completion of editing, my internet got really bad due to international providers having problems with their cables. This impacted the machinima in such a way that I could not look for new music or sounds, and if I could and found a sound I want to get, it took 45 minutes to download a 1MB file… you can imagine the frustration.

But in the end, it was all worth it. The machinima got completed and I hope everyone enjoys this sequel to Orbital!

Slender

So last night Laerwynn and I decided we are going to play a bit of Slender at the same time. What end up happening is a lot of running in circles, cursing at monkeys and talking about stuff that do not even make sense. Good thing I decided to record it all.

For all that do not know the game, it is a first person horror that basically loves to scare the hell out you... fun game, and it is free! If you would like to be scared into oblivion, you can download it here: http://slendergame.com/

Here is the video, hope you have a good laugh haha.

Jingle Rock!

Can it be? Yes it can! Another machinima is online!

Happy Early Xmas All!

About a month ago I discovered this song by DJ BL3ND, and after getting permissions, plans was set up for a machinima. This weekend we got the filming done and I can present to you, Jingle Rock!

Hope you all like it!

Geoflock's Good Idea, Bad Idea

Well wasn't thinking of doing a machinima and posting it today when I got up this morning haha.

Kerbal Space Program have a competition going for Good Idea, Bad Idea and thought I'll give it a go. Luckily Thomas that did the reporter voice in "Orbiter" was online and quickly did a few lines for the narrator. Big thanks to Thomas for that!

After three hours it was done and yes, that actually includes filming, voice acting, creating some quick logos, editing everything together, then rendering, encoding and uploading to Youtube.

And here it is, Geoflock's Good Idea, Bad Idea.

Hope you all like it!

You can head on over to the official Kerbal Space Program Forums for more information about the competition.

ALSO: Kerbal Space Program is celebrating their second anniversary today!
Congrats to the Squad team!

Oribital - Kerbal Space Program Machinima

Well here it is, the newest machinima by Taernoc Productions :D

A few weeks ago I discovered a game called Kerbal Space Program in a video on Youtube. It immediately got my attention and downloaded the demo the same day. Two days later I bought the game :D

If you do not know the game, it is a rocket simulator where you build and launch rockets into space, orbit and land on other planets and moons and basically enjoy what space has to offer. The game is a lot of fun, so after playing it for a few weeks, I decided to make this machinima!

The first ever Kerbin satellite is ready for launch and everybody is ready for this big day including the KSPNN (Kerbal Space Program News Network) crew, professional Mission Control Kerbals and Jennie Kerman, the kerbonaut!

Be sure to check the game out here http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/ where you can try the demo and buy it!

Hope you enjoy the machinima!

Mass Effect 3 Tribute

Well it has been a long time since I released any machinima, but today I break that silence.

After hearing Malukah's beautiful song and recently completing Mass Effect 3 (yup, that's why I have been so quiet on the blog), I just had to make a tribute to this amazing series. Since Mass Effect, this series has shown a new type of RPG with an amazing story and a galaxy filled with detailed lore.

This tribute shows my Shepard and his story. It has been an amazing run from the first Mass Effect, with some funny moments that made me laugh so hard, emotional moments that made me tear up, decisions that I regret making and adrenalin filled moments that just made me want to kick some organic and synthetic behinds! It was truely a series I enjoyed every moment off (yes, even scanning every planet and reading it's details) and even if it makes me sad to see it come to an end, it was an honor to play it all the way through from the first Mass Effect.

The song used in the machinima is called Reignite by Malukah and if you haven't heard about Malukah yet then now is the time! She is an amazing music artist with a beautiful voice that did several covers of Skyrim songs which is where I first heard her voice. Her latest song is the one I used in my machinima and it really made the machinima, while at the same time honouring Mass Effect in a great way! Be sure to check out her channel and also check out the original Reignite video by her.

I know there is a great amount of controversy about the ending which I mostly do not agree on, but Bioware is working on a Extended DLC to add a bit more to the ending which will be interesting to see. There was also the issue with the face import from Mass Effect 2 which ended up with me waiting a month for a patch after I got it before starting to play. Sadly this is an issue with a lot of games these days, releasing them before they are ready.

In any case, overall I loved the series and it was truly one of the best game series that I have ever played. Big thanks goes out to Bioware for creating this galaxy filled with characters I fell in love with. Also thanks to Microsoft for publishing the first game and EA for publishing the second and third game.

Note: This video contains spoilers, so if you are playing the game or want to in the future and prefer not to have it spoiled, it is better if you do not watch this.

Enjoy!

Dronak's Story - Relaunch

A few months ago I made a machinima called Dronak's Story dedicated to Greg Heier who's machinima, "Kendrick's Story", was one of the first machinima I ever saw and got me to begin making machinima.

Dronak's Story was not as good as I hoped it to be, so I decided to change it a little bit. I present to you the new Dronak's Story, with the new change of audio.

Hope you like it and enjoy!

Vito

I am happy to present Vito - a post apocalyptic machinima filmed mostly in Second Life and is a entry into MachinimUWA IV : Art of the Artists competition.

With a planet destroyed and covered in dust and rubble, humanity thought that the worse has come. That was, until any unsheltered person disappear, never to be seen again.

Everyone had a lot of fun making this machinima with enough recorded footage to make a blooper video, so enjoy :D

A special thanks to the cast, crew and music creators for their help and participation.

Other than the credits at the end of Vito, here is all the links!

Conclusion Machinima

It is alive! My newest Fallout 3 machinima called Conclusion, a story about love and revenge, can now be seen on Youtube! I have spend a lot of time mixing the video with the audio to fit the dupstep/orchestra sound and I have to say I like how it turned out. The cool song is called Requiem and it is created by Broove over at Newgrounds. Thanks for letting me use it!

Conclusion Poster
A poster I created for the machinima.

Also, something totally new! Taernoc Productions logo music have changed from the old generic and boring electrical sound and now actually have a type of song! This is thanks to Oscar Remius aka Maverlyn. Big Thanks to Oscar for the intro song!

And here it is, Conclusion! Enjoy!

Dronak's Story

More than five years ago I started making machinima's, with the first being a slideshow of pictures I took in Guild Wars and soon after that a scenery machinima in Guild Wars. Over the years I have made all kinds of machinima, from music videos, story's and adverts.

So what kicked this all off. Well Greg Heier's "Kendrick's Story" was one of the first machinima I ever saw. I was amazed at that time that you can actually do that in games, and immediately got my attention.

So a few days ago I decided to make a machinima inspired by and dedicated to Greg Heier's "Kendrick Story". Since I'm not playing Guild Wars any more these days, I decided to make it in the world of Runes of Magic. Enjoy :D

Be sure to check out "Kendrick's Story" and Greg Heier's Channel for more videos!

New Promo Video!

So I recently got asked if I can make a promo movie of a region in Second Life called 69 Park Avenue, Secret. Well it is done and uploaded on Youtube now :D

Be sure to check out this awesome region by Silexe Core here: http://slurl.com/secondlife/The%20Secret/93/187/23

The cool song that is heard in the video is by FunandMore. Really catchy and fun tune :D Check it out and more songs here: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/270753
